CSA Memberships
Why CSA?
CSAs offer a box of the farmer's freshest produce every week. The vegetables vary, depending on what the farmer is growing. Eating from the local foodshed brings with it so many benefits, from offering an affordable source of healthy food while reducing the carbon footprint incurred delivering that food to our plates, to supplying a connection for where our food comes from, to creating a true sense of food security. Joining CSAs help farmers thrive, while also giving you the freshest veggies available in a weekly box!
What will I get?
We are growing a large assortment of vegetables this year. Your share will include an assortment depending on the week, and will be most likely 7-10 items of the following: salad greens, lettuce, kale, dill, cilantro, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beets, tomatoes, swiss chard, beans, peas, spinach, cabbage, brussels sprouts, kohlrabi, parsley, mizuna, mustard greens, fennel, radishes, turnips, sweet peppers, hot peppers, basil, summer squash, winter squash, cucumbers, eggplant, celery, celeriac, onions, scallions, leeks, and some surprises along the way!
When?
Our CSA will run 20 weeks. It will start June 13th, Sunday, and run every Sunday until October 24th.
For local shareholders in and around Grayslake, we will have on-farm pickup at a discounted rate.
